BREAST ENLARGEMENT surgery – what to expect after ?

I’m going to have a boob job next Friday . I’m very excited about it :) . Is there anything I should have at home for the aftercare ? Is there anything I should put on scars to make them heal and disappear faster ?
How long will it take me to stop feeling the pain after the surgery ?

Any other hints ?

  1. Lovin it says:

use mederma (sp?) and its gonna hurt to walk(in your boobs), so dont plan to do anything for a couple of weeks.

I think you should be happy with how your body is already. Anybody who likes you more because of your boobs isn’t a real friend or soul mate. Just saying.

I am not gonna sugar coat it and say it’s not painful,……..it is alot of pressure pain and you will be uncomfortable for a long time. You should have frozen pea’s (for an ice pack for swelling) also you need to alternate it with heat, so have a heating pad too. As far as scarring goes, the surgeon gave me these silicone patches to put on my incisions after my stitches were removed. You put them on everyday for a month or so and there is very little scarring on me. Also, once your done taking your pain med’s drink pineapple juice, it will diminish your bruising alot faster. But, dont drink it with pain meds……..it interferes. Other than all that, good luck to you and hope all goes well.

Mederma is a must, use it as soon as possible.
Also you do want to move around a little bit while you are bed ridden. Make sure to move both are as soon as you feel comfortable (if going in through the arm pits), this will make for a more even scarring.

GO TO YOUR FOLLOW-UPS! These are so important and so many people do not do it.
Right after surgery (on the way home til bedtime) you may not remember you will be on medication and still coming down from being put out.
Some people are out and about the very next day, but three weeks or so to do heavy lifting is expected.
You will be surprised how much we use those muscles and it will take a little while to get used to.

No matter what anyone thinks as long as you are doing this surgery for yourself, you are doing the right thing. People may look down on you, but this is your body, your decision and your right! I’m proud and I’m sure you’ll love it!
    Good Luck.
